Veintitantos Vientos is a multimedia project that utilizes Speech Emotion Recognition (SER) to generate immersive panoramas based on physical locations. Centered on 24 real-world sites in the Bonfim neighborhood of Porto, Portugal, the project transforms urban reality through emotional data.
The work comprises several layers: a poem (from the collection Rim-bot vuelve a casa), 24 digitally modified images that react to the speaker’s vocal tone, and an interactive virtual environment. Using an equirectangular setup, the project textures a sphere in real-time to create a “living” environment that evolves as the user speaks. The final experience includes audiovisual material and a fragmented version of the poem, where imagery and text are deconstructed and rebuilt based on the interaction.
